Homesteading School LLC provides children with fundamental academic skills aligned with Kentucky's early childhood education standards, immersed in an active homesteading environment. The Company is a small, woman-owned business founded in 2025 by Lisa Weist and provides educational services for young children from birth to five years of age in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains of Eastern Kentucky, USA.

Lisa is a retired public-school teacher and school principal with over 20 years of experience. She holds Kentucky teaching certificates for instructing children from birth to five years of age (B.S., M.A.) both in regular and special education (I.E.C.E.). She also brings to the school her firsthand knowledge and experience of growing up on a farm. In addition, she is an experienced District Child Evaluation Specialist for Kentucky’s Early Intervention System, which serves children with developmental delays or special health needs from birth to three years of age.
